(f) (5) Each member of the Wicomico County Board shall receive the following
amounts annually as compensation:
(i) Member..............[$2,500] $3,700; and
(ii) Chairman.............[$3,000] $4,000.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to Article III,
Section 35 of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may not be construed to extend or
apply to the salary or compensation of the Chairman or members of the Wicomico County
Board of Education in office on the effective date of this Act, but the provisions of this
Act concerning the salary or compensation of the Chairman or members of the Wicomico
County Board of Education shall take effect at the beginning of the next following term of
office.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1994.

AN ACT concerning
Creation of a State Debt - Historic Bladensburg Waterfront
FOR the purpose of authorizing the creation of a State Debt not, to exceed $1,100,000
$2,200,000 $1,600,000, the proceeds to be used as a grant to the Maryland-National
Capital Park and Planning Commission for the revitalization of the Historic
Bladensburg Waterfront, including a design competition for, and the planning,
design, and construction of, a bulkhead, piers, walkways, sitting areas, a tour boat
landing, and a pedestrian bridge across the Anacostia River linking the communities
of Bladensburg and Colmar Manor, subject to the requirement that the
Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission provide and expend a
matching fund and provide present, by a certain date, evidence that a matching fund
will be provided; and providing generally for the issuance and sale of bonds
evidencing the loan.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That:
(1) The Board of Public Works may borrow money and incur indebtedness on
behalf of the State of Maryland through a State loan to be known as the Historic
Bladensburg Waterfront Loan of 1994 in a total principal amount equal to the lesser of (i)
$1,100,000 $2,200,000 $1,600,000 or (ii) the amount of the matching fund provided in
