(ii) The pension shall be in the amount of $150 a month and shall be
paid to the surviving spouse, if any, for the life of that surviving spouse. A lump sum
payment shall be made to the surviving spouse for the period beginning in March, 1976, to
July 1, 1977. Should the spouse not survive until July 1, 1977, a lump sum payment from
March, 1976 to the spouse's death shall be paid to the spouse's estate.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to Article III,
Section 35 of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may not be construed to extend or
apply to the salary or compensation of the Calvert County Treasurer in office on the
effective date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act concerning the salary or
compensation of the Treasurer shall take effect at the beginning of the next following
term of office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1994.

AN ACT concerning

County Commissioners - Calvert County - Convey Real Property

FOR the purpose of authorizing the County Commissioners of Calvert County to convey
interest in real property to the United States of America, the State, or any other
political subdivision or public instrumentality subject to certain conditions;
providing for the termination of this Act; and generally relating to the power of the
County Commissioners of Calvert County to convey real property.
