office on the effective date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act concerning the salary
or compensation of the judges of the Orphans' Court for Calvert County shall take effect
at the beginning of the next following term of office,

SECTION 2. 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1994.

AN ACT concerning

Calvert County - Election Board - Salaries

FOR the purpose of increasing the salary for members and substitute members of the
election board of Calvert County; making certain stylistic changes; providing that
this Act does not apply to the salary of the incumbent members of the election
board of Calvert County; and generally relating to the annual salary of members of
the election board of Calvert County.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 33 - Election Code

2-3.

(a) Each member of the boards of the several political subdivisions of the State
shall receive an annual salary of not less than the following amounts:

(1)     Allegany County: The members shall receive the salary set by the County
Commissioners in accordance with Article 24, Title 11, Subtitle 1 of the Code.

(2)     Anne Arundel County: $2,400.

(3)     Baltimore City: $8,000; these salaries shall be established in the annual
ordinance of estimates but may not be less than the amount provided for in this
subsection.
