Ch. 280 1994 LAWS OF MARYLAND (III) THE GOVERNOR SHALL APPOINT EACH PERSON NOMINATED (3) (I) THE GOVERNOR SHALL APPOINT, TO THE EXTENT POSSIBLE, 3 . (II) EACH OF THESE 3 MEMBERS SHALL BE A RESIDENT OF (4) ONE MEMBER SHALL BE A SOMERSET COUNTY COMMISSIONER WHO [(e) (1) The term of a member is 3 years except for the initial appointments to the (F) (1) EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN PARAGRAPH (2) OF THIS SUBSECTION AND (2) THE TERM OF THE SOMERSET COUNTY COMMISSIONER, APPOINTED [(2)] (3) The terms of members are staggered. [(3)] (4) At the end of a term, a member continues to serve until a successor [(4)] (5) A member who is appointed after a term has begun serves only for [(f)] (G) (1) From among its members, each committee shall elect a chairman. (2) The manner of election shall be as each committee determines. [(g)] (H) A majority of the members then serving on a committee is a quorum. [(h)](I) (1) Each committee shall meet at least once each 3 months. (2) The meetings of each committee shall be held: (i) In an institution in a space designated by the warden of the (ii) If an institution is being planned, in another location accessible to [(i)] (J) A member of a committee may hot receive compensation. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect - 1786 -
