1994 LAWS OF MARYLAND

10-610,

(a)     A person may hunt from a boat or floating blind on days and in open areas of
the Chesapeake Bay and the Potomac River below the Morgantown Bridge as the
Department prescribes by regulation.

(b)     (1) A boat or floating blind not anchored or tied at a licensed blind site may
not be permitted:

(I)      EXCEPT IN THE WATERS OF THE POTOMAC, RIVER IN
WASHINGTON COUNTY GARRETT, .ALLEGANY, WASHINGTON, AND FREDERICK
COUNTIES, closer than 800 yards off privately owned shoreline; or

(II)     [within] WITHIN 500 yards of any licensed blind, blind site,
gunning rig, or body booter except as otherwise provided by this title.

(2) This subsection does not apply to any gunning rig other than a boat or
floating blind.                                                                       

(c)     A person may not use a sneakboat or bushwack rig within 500 yards of a
licensed blind or blind site or any other rig licensed for hunting wild waterfowl.

10-612.

(a)     For the purposes of this subtitle, the required amount of shoreline is 500
yards. However, in Baltimore County and on the tributaries of the Potomac River in
Charles County it is 250 yards, and in Chesapeake Bay opposite Anne Arundel and
Calvert Counties it is 700 yards.

(b)     Except as provided in subsection (c) of this section, a license for a stationary
blind or blind site in the water in front of riparian property shall be issued in accordance
with the following schedule of priorities.

Stationary blind license                                          Blind site license

(1) To the owner of riparian                             Same

property who owns not less than

the required amount of shoreline,

the owner's lessee, licensee, or -

assignee, if an application is made

before October 11 AUGUST 1 of

each year.
