(b) All employees of the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services
whose positions are transferred to the Department of Maryland State Police by this Act
shall be transferred to the Department of Maryland State Police on the effective date of
this Act without any diminution of their rights, benefits, or employment status, including,
if any, merit system and retirement status,
(c) All property, including real or personal property, records, fixtures,
appropriations, credits, assets, liabilities, obligations, rights, and privileges held by the
Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services to carry out the exclusive
functions of the Maryland State Police shall be transferred to the Department of
Maryland State Police on the effective date of this Act.
(d) All existing laws, regulations, proposed regulations, standards and guidelines,
proposed standards and guidelines, appropriations, funds, grants or applications for
grants, policies, orders, directives, forms, plans, memberships, contracts, property,
investigations, administrative and judicial responsibilities, rights to sue and be sued, and
all other duties and responsibilities associated with the functions of the Maryland State
Police prior to the effective date of this Act shall continue in effect under the Department
of Maryland State Police or a unit within the Department until completed, withdrawn-
canceled, modified, or otherwise changed pursuant to law.
(e) Any transaction that is affected by or flows from any statute that is amended.
repealed, or transferred by this Act and that is validly entered into before the effective
date of this Act and every right, duty, or interest flowing from such a statute remains valid
after the effective date of this Act and may be terminated, completed, consummated, or
enforced as required or permitted by the respective statute as though the repeal.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That:
(a) The publishers of the Annotated Code of Maryland, subject to the approval of
the Department of Legislative Reference, shall propose the correction of any agency
names and titles throughout the Code that are rendered incorrect by this Act.
(b) The Department of Legislative Reference, in conjunction with the publishers
of the Annotated Code of Maryland, shall revise the Code to conform it to the transfer of
the Maryland State Police to the Department of Maryland State Police under this Act,
and this statutory revision shall be ratified by passage of the Annual Corrective Bill of
1995.
SECTION 2. 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1994 July 1, 1994.
