Article 4 - Public Local Laws of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Business Occupations and Professions

12-303.

An applicant for a license shall:

(1)      submit to the Board an application on the form that the Board provides;
and

(2)      pay to the Board an application fee [of]:

(i) [$20] for a master plumber license [;

(ii) $10 for] OR a journey plumber license, AN AMOUNT SET BY THE
BOARD, WHICH MAY NOT EXCEED THE COST OF ADMINISTERING THE REQUIRED
EXAMINATION TO THE APPLICANT; or

[(iii)](II) [$15] for an apprentice plumber license OF $15.

Article 4 - Baltimore City

4-2.

The Board has general supervision of all stationary engineers within the State,
except as hereinafter provided. The Board shall examine all engineers who are 18 years
old or older and apply for examination and shall give all parties so examined a certificate
of proficiency if found proficient, and refuse to give a certificate if not found proficient.
Each person applying for the examination shall pay [the Board the following fee: $20 for
the first grade, $15 for the second grade, $10 for the third grade and $10 for the fourth
grade] AN APPLICATION FEE SET BY THE BOARD, WHICH MAY NOT EXCEED THE
COST OF ADMINISTERING THE REQUIRED EXAMINATION. Each person receiving the
certificate shall pay to the Board $15 for the certificate issued and $30 for all renewals of
all grades. The certificate shall be of four grades: a certificate of the first grade will
permit the holder to take charge of any plant of machinery; the second grade to take
charge of any plant machinery from one to five hundred horse-power; the third grade to
take charge of any plant of machinery from one to thirty horse-power; and the fourth
