30.01.03 BOATING ADMINISTRATION
(A) Waterway Improvement Fund. Provide funds for waterway
improvement projects including dredging operations, sediment
removal, structural and non-structural improvements, stream and
river bank reconstruction, revegetation, erosion control, and the
acquisition of property and necessary capital equipment, subject to
the requirement that the grantee provide ON A
PROJECT-BY-PROJECT BASIS, an equal and matching fund for
this purpose and expend the matching fund prior to the
disbursement of State funding. NOTWITHSTANDING THE
PROVISIONS OF SECTION 1 OF THIS ACT, THE MATCHING FUNDS
MAY CONSIST OF FUNDS EXPENDED ON PROJECTS
PREVIOUSLY APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS
AND THE GRANTEE SHALL HAVE UNTIL JUNE 1, . 1995, TO
PRESENT EVIDENCE SATISFACTORY TO THE BOARD OF PUBLIC
WORKS THAT THE MATCHING FUNDS WILL BE PROVIDED.......
39.01.04 WATER MANAGEMENT ADMINISTRATION
(Statewide)
(A) Chesapeake Bay Water Quality Project Funds. Provide funds to be
credited to the Water Pollution Control Fund to be used for
projects to improve the water quality of the Chesapeake Bay and
other waters of the State, to be administered for- the purposes
listed below in accordance with Title 9, Subtitle 3, Part VI of the
Environment Article:
[(1) To provide not more than $1,055,000 in grants to assist in the
construction of publicly owned sewage treatment works;
(2)] (1) To provide not more than [$5,460,000] $6,515,000 in grants
for projects to remove nutrients at publicly owned sewage
treatment works;
[(3)](2) To provide not more than $2,795,000 in grants to provide
assistance to grant and loan recipients to meet the local share of
construction costs;
[(4)] (3) To provide not more than $1,000,000 in grants for water
quality clean-up activities in creeks and small estuaries;
