(2) Provides adequate evidence that the applicant:

(i) Meets the qualifications otherwise required by this title; and

(ii) Became licensed in the other state after meeting in that or any
other state requirements that, are at least equivalent to the licensing requirements of this
State.

(C) (1) SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBSECTION, THE BOARD
SHALL WAIVE THE EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SUBTITLE FOR AN
APPLICANT FOR A LICENSE TO PROVIDE HEARING AID SERVICES WHO IS LICENSED
TO PROVIDE HEARING AID SERVICES IN ANOTHER STATE.

(2)      THE BOARD MAY GRANT A WAIVER UNDER THIS SUBSECTION ONLY
IF THE APPLICANT:

(I)       PAYS THE APPLICATION FEE REQUIRED UNDER § 2-303 OF THIS
SUBTITLE; AND

(II)     PROVIDES ADEQUATE EVIDENCE THAT THE APPLICANT:

1.        MEETS THE QUALIFICATIONS OTHERWISE REQUIRED BY
THIS TITLE; AND

2.        BECAME LICENSED IN THE OTHER STATE AFTER
MEETING, IN THAT OR ANY OTHER STATE, REQUIREMENTS THAT ARE AT LEAST
EQUIVALENT TO THE LICENSING REQUIREMENTS OF THIS STATE.

(3)      IF LICENSED IN ANOTHER STATE THAT DOES NOT HAVE A
CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENT EQUIVALENT TO THAT CONTAINED IN §
2-308(H) OF THIS SUBTITLE, AN APPLICANT SHALL, WITHIN 6 MONTHS AFTER BEING
ISSUED A LICENSE IN THIS STATE, COMPLETE A PRESCRIBED NUMBER OF HOURS OF
CONTINUING EDUCATION AS DETERMINED BY THE BOARD, NOT TO EXCEED 20
HOURS, SO AS TO OBTAIN AN EQUIVALENT NUMBER OF HOURS AS IS REQUIRED FOR
IN-STATE APPLICANTS.

(4) EXCEPT AS PROVIDED BY THIS SUBSECTION, THE BOARD MAY NOT
IMPOSE ON AN INDIVIDUAL WHO APPLIES FOR A WAIVER OF EXAMINATION ANY
LICENSING REQUIREMENT THAT IS NOT REQUIRED OF ANY OTHER APPLICANT FOR
A LICENSE.
