Subtitle 2. State Board of Examiners for Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers, and

Speech-Language Pathologists

2-201.

There is a State Board of Examiners for Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers, and
Speech-Language Pathologists in the Department.

DRAFTER'S NOTE:

Error: Erroneous and obsolete nomenclature in the subtitle immediately
preceding § 2-201 of the Health Occupations Article.

Occurred: As a result of Ch. 448, Acts of 1993, which renamed the State
Board of Examiners for Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dealers, and Speech-
Language Pathologists to be the State Board of Examiners for Audiologists,
Hearing Aid Dispensers, and Speech-Language Pathologists. Correction by
the Michie Company in the 1993 Cumulative Supplement of the Health
Occupations Article is validated by this Act.

(c) The Board may inspect the facilities used by licensed hearing aid [dealers]
DISPENSERS.

Error: Misnomer in § 2-205(c) of the Health Occupations Article.

2-305.

(a)     The Board may waive any of the qualifications required for a license to
practice audiology or speech-language pathology under this title for ah individual who:

(1)     Is of good moral character;

(2)     Pays the application fee required by the Board under § 2-303 of this
subtitle; and

(3)     Holds the certificate of clinical competence in audiology of the
American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and meets the practice requirements
established by the Board or holds the certificate of clinical competence in
speech-language pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and
meets the practice requirements established by the Board.

(b)     The Board may waive any examination requirement of this subtitle for an
applicant FOR A LICENSE TO PRACTICE AUDIOLOGY OR SPEECH-LANGUAGE
PATHOLOGY who:                                                                                                  

(1) Pays the application fee required by the Board under § 2-303 of this
subtitle; and
