SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 17 - Prince George's County

10-218.1:

(b) (1) Any revenues generated under the authority of this Section from a hotel
and motel tax within the boundaries of a municipal corporation located in Prince
George's County shall be collected by the County.

(2) The County [may] SHALL distribute to the municipal corporation
within which the revenues were generated [a portion] 50% of the revenues collected by
the County from hotels and motels in the municipal corporation.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1994.

shall take effect July 1, 1995. For the fiscal year that begins July 1, 1994, Prince George's
County shall distribute to each municipal corporation in the County 25% of the hotel and
motel tax revenues collected by the County from hotels and motels in the municipal
corporation.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, except as provided in
Section 2 of this Act, this Act shall take effect July 1, 1994.
