Ch. 55                                      1994 LAWS OF MARYLAND

(I)      CALVERT COUNTY;

(II)     KENT COUNTY; AND

(III)   ST. MARY'S COUNTY.

(2) Notwithstanding any other provisions of this article, [in Calvert and St.
Mary's Counties] any licensee wishing to install an additional bar or serving counter
within a reasonable distance of the main building may do so with the approval of the
alcoholic beverages licensing authority in the respective county. Each licensing authority
shall determine what constitutes a reasonable distance for the respective county[,] and,
if the authorization is granted, no additional license is required.

101.

(c) Any class of retail on- or off-sale alcoholic beverages license issued by the
board of license commissioners authorizes the holder to sell alcoholic beverages:

(1)     On Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following day;

(2)     On Saturday from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. the following day; and

(3)     On Sunday:

(i) For a Class A [or D] license, from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following
day;

(ii) For a Class B license, from 12 noon to 12 midnight (OFF-SALE
FOR BEER AND WINE ONLY); [or]

(iii) For a Class C license, from 11 a.m. to 12 midnight; OR

(IV)   FOR A CLASS D LICENSE, FROM 9 A.M. TO 2 A.M. (OFF-SALE FOR
BEER AND WINE ONLY).

(j) (1) (I) THIS SUBSECTION APPLIES ONLY IN [In] Kent County.

(II) IN THIS SUBSECTION "BOARD" MEANS THE BOARD OF LICENSE
COMMISSIONERS.

(2) [, notwithstanding] NOTWITHSTANDING §§ 69 and 70 of this article,
the Board [of License Commissioners shall have the power to] MAY suspend any
alcoholic beverage license for any violation of this article for not less than 15 nor more
than 90 days. An appeal does not stay the order of the Board suspending a license. [The
Board shall hear and determine cases within 30 days of report of violation by any
alcoholic beverages inspector or other law-enforcement officer.]

[(2)] (3) The [Kent County] Board [of License Commissioners]:

(i) Shall employ one full-time alcoholic beverages inspector whose
salary shall be set by the County Commissioners; and
