                    CHAPTER 45

(House Bill 318)

AN ACT concerning

Village of North Chevy Chase - Charter Revision

MC 409-94

FOR the purpose of altering the days of election for the members of the Village Council

of the Village of North Chevy Chase; authorizing the Village Council to engage in

cooperative procurement with other governmental entities in Montgomery County;

making stylistic changes; and generally relating to the charter for the Village of

North Chevy Chase.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Chapter 117 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1924, as amended by Chapter
558 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1951 and Chapter 175 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of 1991

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Chapter 117 of the Acts of 1924, as amended by Chapter 558 of the Acts of 1951 and
           Chapter 175 of the Acts of 1991

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That [for the purpose of this Act, the]:

SECTION 1. CONSTITUTED SPECIAL TAXING AREA; BOUNDARIES DEFINED.

THE Village of North Chevy Chase, of Montgomery County, Maryland, as
hereinafter described, shall constitute a special tax area or district, and shall be deemed
and taken to comprise certain parcels of land, namely;

So much of the area in the subdivision of land in Montgomery County made by
Bedford W. Walker and known as Kenilworth as per Plat No. 7 in Plat Book No. 1,
recorded among the Land records of Montgomery County, Maryland, and such territory
adjacent thereto as is included in the following boundaries; the North line of Jones Bridge
Road on the South; the East line of Connecticut Avenue, Maryland Route 185 on the
West; a line approximately 100 feet north of Husted Drive extending west to Connecticut
Avenue on the north; and the west side of Clifford Avenue extending from the North
Boundary to Jones Bridge Road on the East. The area so bounded shall be known for the
purpose of this Act as the Village of North Chevy Chase, Montgomery County, Maryland.

[SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the]
