(ii) Upon receipt of the statement required in subparagraph (i) of this
paragraph, the county treasurer, tax collector, or director of finance shall endorse on the
deed an appropriate certification and the endorsement shall be sufficient authority for
transfer on the assessment books.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1994.

AN ACT concerning
Howard County —Jurors—One Day or One Trial Jury Service
Ho. Co. 12-94
FOR the purpose of providing that in Howard County, a prospective juror is required to
serve for only one day or, if selected as a juror, for one trial, within a certain altering
a contingency provision affecting a modification of jurors' compensation in Howard
County so that the modification will take effect if the Clerk of the Circuit Court for
Howard County adopts a system under which a prospective juror need not be on call
for more than a specified period.
