(b)     At least 1 month before the permit expires, the Department shall send to the
permit holder, by first class mail to the last known address of the holder, a renewal notice
that states:

(1)     The date on which the current permit expires;

(2)     The date by which the renewal application must be received by the
Secretary for the renewal to be issued and mailed before the permit expires; and

(3)     The amount of the renewal fee.

(c)     Before the permit expires, the. permit holder periodically may renew it for an
additional 1-year term, if the permit holder:

(1)     Otherwise is entitled to the permit;

(2)     Pays to the Department the renewal fee set by the Secretary; and

(3)     Submits to the Secretary:

(i) A renewal application on the form that the Secretary requires; and

(ii) Satisfactory evidence of compliance with any standards and
qualifications set under this subtitle for permit renewal.

(d)     The Secretary shall renew the permit of each permit holder who meets the
requirements of this section.]

[17-410.

Each permit holder shall display the permit conspicuously in the medical test unit.]

[17-411.

(a)     The Secretary may deny a permit to any applicant or suspend or revoke a
permit or the authority to offer or perform any class of test that the permit sets forth, if
the medical test unit fails to meet the requirements that the Secretary adopts under this
subtitle.

(b)     Except as otherwise provided in the Administrative Procedure Act, before the
Secretary takes any action under this section, the Secretary shall give the applicant or
permit holder notice and an opportunity for a hearing.]

[17-412.

Except as otherwise provided in this subtitle, a person may not operate a medical
test unit in this State unless the person holds a permit issued by the Secretary.]

[17-413.

A permit holder may not offer or perform any test that is not authorized by the
permit.]
