(b) Any member who has transferred to this pension system from the Employees'
Retirement System and whose service is terminated other than by death or retirement
after the member has rendered 5 or more years of creditable service shall be eligible to
receive a vested allowance. The vested allowance shall be a deferred allowance that
begins at age 60 and shall be computed as a service retirement allowance as provided
under [§ 10-201(c)(2)] § 10-217(C)(2) of this subtitle on the basis of the member's
average final compensation and creditable service at the time the member's service is
terminated.

(c) (1) The Lighthouse Preservation Special Fund is a continuing, nonlapsing,
revolving fund to be maintained by the State Treasurer. The State Treasurer shall hold
and the State Comptroller shall account for the Fund.
(3) [The Fund is a special fund within the meaning of § 10-306] IF CASH IS
RECEIVED AS CONSIDERATION FOR THE DISPOSITION OF A CAPITAL ASSET
PURCHASED WITH FUNDS FROM THIS SPECIAL FUND, THAT CASH SHALL BE APPLIED
TO THE SPECIAL FUND AS PROVIDED BY § 10-306(C)(2) of the State Finance and
Procurement Article.

(a) Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, any object or material of
historical or archaeological value or interest found on a submerged or terrestrial
archaeological site or land the State owns or controls is the property of the State[,
except]. EXCEPT as otherwise provided under this subtitle for submerged archaeological
historic property[. It], IT shall be deposited for permanent preservation in a reputable
museum, institution of higher education, or with a recognized scientific or historical
institution or organization.
(b) (1) Subject to applicable federal law, and subject to paragraph (2) of this
subsection, the Trust may transfer any human remains AND ASSOCIATED FUNERARY
OBJECTS, including Native American human remains AND ASSOCIATED FUNERARY
OBJECTS, in its possession, custody, or control to an appropriate place of repose.
