51.
[(v) In Queen Anne's County, the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's
County shall set the annual salary of the County Treasurer. The salary shall be set prior
to the date on which a newly elected County Treasurer first assumes his position during
his term of office. However, the salary shall be at least $10,000. This salary shall be his
sole compensation for services performed in his capacity of County Treasurer. Any fees,
commissions, or other compensation paid to the County Treasurer under the laws of
Queen Anne's County or the State of Maryland shall be accounted for by the County
Treasurer and paid into the general funds of Queen Anne's County.]
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to Article III,
Section 35 of the Constitution of Maryland, the repeal of Article 25, § 51(v), Annotated
Code of Maryland, under Section 1 of this Act may not be construed to affect the salary
or compensation of the County Treasurer of Queen Anne's County in office on the
effective date of this Act.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall' take effect
October 1, 1993.
