Article - Natural Resources

1-204.

(C) ANY LAW ENFORCEMENT EMPLOYEE OF THE DEPARTMENT. OP NATURAL
RESOURCES WHO WORKS OVERTIME FOR ANY REASON, WHETHER OR NOT THE
EMPLOYEE RECEIVES MONETARY PAYMENT FOR THAT OVERTIME WORK, SHALL BE
CONSIDERED TO BE EMPLOYED BY THIS STATE DURING THOSE HOURS FOR
PURPOSES OF ALL OTHER EMPLOYEE ENTITLEMENTS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Chapter ______, Acts of 1993, which enacted Division I of the

State Personnel Article, also added subsection (c) of this section, which is
derived without substantive change from the first sentence of Art. 89, §
27(e)(5).

Article - State Finance and Procurement

6-103.

(a)     There is a Bureau of Revenue Estimates in the Office of the Comptroller.

(b)     (1) The head of the Bureau is the Chief[, who shall be appointed by the
Comptroller].

(2) Subject to the supervision of the Comptroller, the Chief has
administrative control of the Bureau.

(C) EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED BY LAW, THE COMPTROLLER SHALL
APPOINT THE CHIEF AND OTHER EMPLOYEES OF THE BUREAU IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE STATE PERSONNEL ARTICLE THAT GOVERN
CLASSIFIED SERVICE EMPLOYEES.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Chapter ______, Acts of 1993, which enacted Division I of the

State Personnel Article, also amended this section to add subsection (c),
which is derived without substantive change from former Art. 64A, § 7A.

In subsection (c) of this section, the phrase "[e]xcept as otherwise provided by
law" is added to reflect other laws that may affect the status of various
employees. See, e.g., Title 1, Subtitle 4 of the State Personnel Article.

Article - State Government

SUBTITLE 14A. MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS ON STAFF.

2-14A-01.

(A) (1) ALL FULL-TIME PERMANENT EMPLOYEES OF THE GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, THE DEPARTMENT OF LEGISLATIVE REFERENCE, AND
THE DEPARTMENT OF FISCAL SERVICES SHALL BE CONSIDERED AS FULL-TIME
PERMANENT STATE EMPLOYEES FOR THE PURPOSES OF TRANSFERRING TO A
POSITION IN THE EXECUTIVE OR JUDICIAL BRANCH OF STATE GOVERNMENT.
