In subsection (c) of this section, the job titles "Park Ranger Supervisor" and
"Park Services Supervisor" are substituted for the former reference to a "Park
Ranger III" to reflect the current titles of those positions in the Department
of Natural Resources.

GENERAL REVISOR'S NOTE:
Former Art. 89, § 27(e)(2), which allowed specified employees of the Maryland
State Police and the Department of Natural Resources to receive "[unlimited" overtime
payments, is deleted as obsolete and unnecessary because there are no longer any limits
otherwise imposed by law.
The first sentence of former Art. 89, § 27(e)(3), which allowed the payment of
overtime from special State funds, federal funds, or local funds, whether or not certain
maximum overtime payment limits had been reached, is deleted. Former Art. 89, §
27(e)(2) has been amended over the years to remove all limits of this type.
Correspondingly, the first sentence of former Art. 89, § 27(e)(4), which provided for the
effect of a change in rank on the maximum yearly overtime payable, is deleted.
The second sentence of former Art. 89, § 27(e)(4), which provided that overtime
payments to various employees of the Maryland State Police and the Department of
Natural Resources do not affect retirement and pension benefits, is deleted as
unnecessary in light of Art. 73B of the Code, which governs State retirement and pension
systems.
The first sentence of former Art. 89, § 27(e)(5), which provided that law
enforcement employees of the Department of Natural Resources are considered to
be employed by this State during overtime hours, is transferred to NR § 2-104 by
Ch_______, Acts of 1993.
SUBTITLE 4. PAYROLL.
6-401. CENTRAL PAYROLL BUREAU.
(A) PAYMENT OF WAGES.
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN SUBSECTION (B) OF THIS SECTION AND
NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER LAW, THE CENTRAL PAYROLL BUREAU OF THE
OFFICE OF THE STATE COMPTROLLER SHALL PROVIDE FOR THE PAYMENT OF ALL
WAGES TO:
(1) EACH OFFICER AND EMPLOYEE OF THIS STATE WHO IS PAID FROM
FUNDS APPROPRIATED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY; AND
(2) WHETHER OR NOT PAID FROM FUNDS APPROPRIATED BY THE
GENERAL ASSEMBLY, EACH OFFICER AND EMPLOYEE OF:
(I) THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND SYSTEM;
(II) MORGAN STATE UNIVERSITY;
