SUBTITLE 4. EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY PROGRAM.
3-401. DEFINITIONS.

(A)     IN GENERAL.

IN THIS SUBTITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS INDICATED.

(B)     COORDINATOR.

"COORDINATOR" MEANS THE EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
COORDINATOR.

the title "Equal Employment Opportunity Coordinator".

(C)     PROGRAM.

"PROGRAM" MEANS THE EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY PROGRAM
ESTABLISHED UNDER THIS SUBTITLE.

(D)     UNIT.

"UNIT" MEANS ANY UNIT OF THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH OF STATE
GOVERNMENT:

the phrase "of the executive branch of State government".

3-402. SCOPE OF SUBTITLE.

THIS SUBTITLE APPLIES ONLY TO:

(1)      CLASSIFIED SERVICE EMPLOYEES IN THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH OF
STATE GOVERNMENT; AND

(2)      APPLICANTS FOR EMPLOYMENT IN THE CLASSIFIED SERVICE OF
THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH OF STATE GOVERNMENT.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language added to clarify the scope of this

subtitle. See 77 Op. Att'y Gen. ______ (1992) [Opinion No. 92-016 (May 20,

1992)].

As to other State protections against employment discrimination, see Art.
49B, §§ 14 through 18 of the Code.
