1-101. DEFINITIONS.

(A)     IN GENERAL.

IN THIS DIVISION I OF THIS ARTICLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE
MEANINGS INDICATED.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection formerly was the introductory language to
Art. 64A, § 1.

The only changes are in style.

(B)     APPOINTING AUTHORITY.

"APPOINTING AUTHORITY" MEANS AN INDIVIDUAL OR A UNIT OF
GOVERNMENT THAT HAS THE POWER TO MAKE APPOINTMENTS AND TERMINATE
EMPLOYMENT.
