(ii) Each local school system shall
publish the Maryland School
Performance Report for School
Systems and Schools.
(2) What actions the State Board of
Education will take if a public school
fails to meet the standards of satisfactory
or better in each student performance
area.
(3) Whether or not the State Board of
Education will take appropriate action
including ordering the school to develop
and implement a time limited school
improvement plan.
(4) What actions the State Board of
Education will take upon failure of the
school to meet the requirements set by
the school improvement plan in the time
allotted.
(5) Whether or not the State Board will
order the school to close and under what
circumstances the school may be
reopened and operated.
It is the intent of the General Assembly that
the proposed bylaws be presented to the
committees of the General Assembly which
oversee local education aid. The budget
committees should be allowed forty five
days to review and comment on the
proposals before they are submitted to the
State Board of Education.............................
Special Fund Appropriation.............................
Federal Fund Appropriation, provided that it
is the intent of the General Assembly that
the indirect cost recovery portion of any
additional federal funds placed in the
department's budget in fiscal year 1994 by
budget amendment shall revert to the
general fund for the purpose of offsetting
the indirect costs incurred by the State for
administering the federally funded
