Chapter 34

Laws of Montgomery County, 1992

AN ACT to:

(1)     [[increase]] change certain penalties for violation of certain animal control
laws;

(2)     change the animals to which the animal at large law applies and provide for
certain fees;                                                                                                         

[[(2)]](3) prohibit the display of any dog or cat in [[a]] certain public [[place]]
places for the purpose of selling or giving the animal away;

[[(3)]](4) require the owner of a dog or cat to obtain a certain permit under
certain circumstances;

[[(4)]](5) prohibit the sale or transfer of a dog or cat under certain circumstances;

[[(5)]](6) provide for a certain license [[fee]] surcharge for dogs and cats that
have not been [[spayed or neutered]] altered;

(7) provide for a certain temporary dog and cat license;

[[(6)]](8) amend the law regarding [[dog fanciers' and cat]] fanciers', pet shop,
and commercial kennel licenses;

(9) require a certain evaluation;

[[(7)]](10) make technical and stylistic changes; and

[[(8)]](11) generally amend the animal control law regarding dog and cat
overpopulation.
