Article 73B - Pensions

7-401.

(a) A member may retire if:

(1) On or before the date of retirement, the member:

(i) Has attained at least 20 years of creditable service; and

(ii) 1. Has served as a correctional officer in 1 of the first 6 job
classifications for at least 5 years immediately before retirement; or

2. Has served at least [20] 5 years as a security attendant at
Clifton T. Perkins Hospital Center, as a correctional officer in 1 of the first 6 job
classifications, or a combination of these positions immediately before retirement; and

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1993.

AN ACT concerning

Health Maintenance Organizations - Emergency Services

FOR the purpose of requiring health maintenance organizations to develop and provide
certain specific information on the procedures to be followed for emergency services
to all subscribers and enrollees of the health maintenance organizations;
authorizing a hospital emergency facility to collect or attempt to collect payment
from a subscriber or enrollee for health care services provided for a condition that
is determined not to be an emergency; defining a certain term; and generally
relating to health maintenance organizations and the provision of emergency
services.
