Article 30 - Deaf, Mute or Blind

(c) (1) Any interpreter appointed pursuant to this section shall be allowed
compensation the agency deems reasonable.
(2) [If the agency has been vested with the authority to tax for services and
expenses as a part of the costs of a case, it may in its discretion , IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE PROVISIONS OF THE FEDERAL AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT, tax the amount
paid to an interpreter as a part of these services and expenses. Otherwise, the amount]
THE COMPENSATION ALLOWED UNDER THIS SUBSECTION shall be paid by the agency
before which the contested case is held.

AN ACT concerning
Pregnant and Postpartum Women - Substance Abuse Treatment Services and Medical
Assistance Recipients - Services
FOR the purpose of requiring the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Administration to develop a
certain referral procedure related to the provision of alcohol abuse and drug abuse
treatment services to pregnant or postpartum women at certain alcohol abuse and
drug abuse treatment programs or facilities; requiring alcohol abuse and drug abuse
treatment programs and facilities to refer pregnant or postpartum women to certain
other services; requiring alcohol abuse and drug abuse treatment programs to
submit certain documentation to the Administration along with their funding
applications; requiring the Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene to enable
Medical Assistance Program eligible pregnant women enrolled in certain health
maintenance organizations to receive alcohol abuse and drug abuse treatment
services under certain circumstances; defining a certain term; authorizing the
