AN ACT concerning
Prince George's County Council - Ethical and Elections Standards - Contingency Act
Maryland-Washington Regional District - District Council for Prince George's County -
Ethical and Election Standards

FOR the purpose of enacting certain election law and public ethics law provisions relating
to members of the District Council for the portion of the Maryland-Washington
Regional District in Prince George's County Council, to the County Executive of
Prince George's County, and to certain other persons involved in land use
applications before the Council; prohibiting certain contributions and transfers
from certain persons under certain circumstances; requiring the disclosure of
certain ex parte communications to be made by certain applicants and agents, by a
member of the County Council, and by the County Executive of Prince George's
County; exempting certain individuals persons from the application of this Act;
defining certain terms; requiring the State Ethics Commission and its Executive
Director to carry out certain functions; allowing certain parties to submit certain
evidence to the Clerk of the Prince George's County Council; establishing certain
procedures governing judicial review; making the provisions of this Act severable;
providing that certain local laws are superseded by this Act and that certain local
laws may not supplement this Act; providing for the application of this Act; making
this Act an emergency measure and subject to a certain contingency; and generally
relating to election law and ethics law provisions for and public confidence in land
use decisions in the portion of the Maryland-Washington Regional District located
in Prince George's County.
