Ch. 5

This repeals an unnecessary and redundant uncodified provision and repeals an
uncodified provision that is codified as § 21-336(l) of the Health - General Article by
Section 1 of this Act.

Chapter 425 of the Acts of 1992

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the provisions of this Act
that [increases] INCREASE the minimum capital investment requirement for Class BLX
alcoholic beverages licenses in Charles County [does] DO not apply to Class BLX
alcoholic beverages licenses issued prior to the effective date of this Act.

Chapter 437 of the Acts of 1992

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, notwithstanding any
other provision of this Act, the standing subcommittees of the State Economic Growth,
Resource Protection, and Planning Commission established under Section 1 of this Act
shall be composed initially of the following members, who shall serve for initial terms of

2 years:

(d) The Subcommittee on the Environment and Economic Development shall
consist of the following members:

(2) [6] 7 members selected by the Governor as follows:

(i) 2 members representing the State's environmental interest
organizations, selected from a list submitted by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation
containing at least 6 names;

(ii) 2 members representing the State's business interest organizations,
selected from a list submitted by the Maryland Chamber and Economic Development
Associates, containing at least 6 names;

(iii) 2 members representing the State's local governments, 1 each from
a county and a municipal corporation, selected from lists submitted by the Maryland
Municipal League and the Maryland Association of Counties, each list to contain at least

3  names; and

(iv) 1 member representing the State's agricultural interests, selected
from a list submitted by the Maryland Farm Bureau, containing at least 3 names.

DRAFTER'S NOTE:

This corrects a failure to reflect the correct number of members of the
Subcommittee on the Environment and Economic Development in § 3(d)(2) of Chapter
437 of the Acts of 1992.
