AN ACT concerning

Anne Arundel County - Alcoholic Beverages

(Wine Festival License)

FOR the purpose of altering the licensing provisions for the Annapolis Wine Festival so
that it is the Anne Arundel Wine Festival; providing for the termination of provisions
relating to the Wine Festival and providing for a certain effective date.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND; That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

39G.

(a) (1) IN THIS SECTION THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS
INDICATED.

(2) "BOARD" MEANS THE ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY BOARD OF LICENSE
COMMISSIONERS.

(3) "FESTIVAL" MEANS THE ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY BEER AND WINE
FESTIVAL.

(B)     THIS SECTION APPLIES ONLY IN ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY.

(C)     The [Alcoholic Beverage Control Board for the City of Annapolis] BOARD
may issue a special [Annapolis Beer and Wine] Festival [(ABWF)] AABWF license.

[(b)](D) Notwithstanding any other provision of this article, an applicant for a
special [(ABWF)] FESTIVAL license shall be a holder of an existing State retail alcoholic
beverages license, State Class 3 winery license, or State Class 4 winery license issued
under this article.

[(c)] (E) A special [(ABWF)] FESTIVAL licensee shall:

(1) Only display and sell:

(i) Wine that is manufactured and processed in Maryland and any
contiguous state; and
