1993 LAWS OF MARYLAND

(iii) The Board of License Commissioners may deny an application for
this license if it is determined that the applicant does not qualify under the provisions of
this article.

[(6)] (12) In Wicomico County [,] the fee is $35 per day.

[(d)](E) [Special] A SPECIAL license of any class[, which shall entitle the] ITS
holder [thereof] to exercise the privilege of [such] THE license for a period not
exceeding ten consecutive days at a fee of [five dollars ($5.00),] $5 per day, in cases
where a license has been cancelled, revoked, suspended, renewal denied by the local
board or where a renewal license has been granted by the local board and the court on
appeal has reversed the local board's decision, for the purpose of permitting [him] THE
LICENSEE to dispose of [his] THE LICENSEE'S stock of alcoholic beverages!; and said].
THE special license shall carry with it the privilege of selling [said] THE stock at retail or
to one or more holders of wholesale licenses[, and such] THE holders of wholesale
licenses [are hereby authorized to] MAY purchase [same] THEM. [But nothing herein
shall] THIS SUBSECTION DOES NOT authorize [said] THE licensee to purchase alcoholic
beverages for the purpose of resale under this license.

[(e)](F) [Special licenses] WHEN THE MOVE IS NECESSITATED BY FIRE OR
OTHER CATASTROPHE, THE HOLDER OF A SPECIAL LICENSE of any class [which shall
entitle the holder thereof to make a temporary removal of] MAY TEMPORARILY MOVE
the licensed premises from one location to another [where said removal is made
necessary by fire or other catastrophe] while [said] THE premises are being restored[,
and which shall entitle the]. THE holder [thereof to] MAY exercise the privileges of
[such] THE license for a period in the discretion of the licensing authority but not to
exceed six months. [No] A fee [shall] MAY NOT be charged for this special license but
the [said] licensing authority shall [be required to] approve, as in the case of THE
original application, the new location to which the license holder has temporarily
[removed] MOVED.

[(f)] (G) [None of the] THE special licenses provided for in this section [shall]
MAY NOT be issued in any county[,] or in Baltimore City, or in this State in case of
application for statewide license, if the issuance of a regular license of the same class is
not authorized by this article.

[(g)](H) (1) [In] THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBSECTION APPLY ONLY IN
Allegany County [the].

(2) THE Board of License Commissioners [shall have authority to] MAY
grant special licenses of any class, except manufacturer's and wholesaler's, which [shall
entitle the] ENTITLES THEIR holder [thereof] to exercise any of the privileges
conferred by the respective classes of licenses at any bona fide entertainment held or
conducted by any club, society, or association at the place [therein] described IN THE
LICENSE, for a period not exceeding seven consecutive days from the. effective date
[thereof] OF THE LICENSE, upon the payment, BEFORE THE LICENSE IS ISSUED, TO
THE BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS of a fee of:

(I) $20 per day for any beer or beer and light wine license [,]; or
