Ch. 448

2. THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH
DISABILITIES SHALL SOLICIT NOMINEES FROM EACH OF THE HEARING IMPAIRED
ASSOCIATIONS IN THE STATE.

(c)     The consumer members of the Board:

(2)     May not be or ever have been an audiologist, hearing aid [dealer]
DISPENSER, or speech-language pathologist or in training to become an audiologist,
hearing aid [dealer] DISPENSER, or speech-language pathologist;

(3)     May not have a household member who is an audiologist, hearing aid
[dealer] DISPENSER, or speech-language pathologist or in training to become an
audiologist, hearing aid [dealer] DISPENSER, or speech-language pathologist;

(H) A MEMBER OF THE BOARD MAY NOT SERVE AS AN ELECTED OFFICER OR
A DIRECTOR OF A PROFESSIONAL OR TRADE ASSOCIATION THAT HAS MEMBERS
WHO ARE UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF THE BOARD.

2-205.

(a)     In addition to the powers and duties set forth elsewhere in this title, the Board
has the following powers and duties:

(1) To adopt rules and regulations to carry out the provisions of this title;
INCLUDING REGULATIONS FOR THE QUALIFICATIONS OF SUPPORTIVE PERSONNEL
AND THE SUPERVISION OF THESE PERSONNEL BY LICENSED AUDIOLOGISTS AND
SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGISTS
;

(b)     The Board shall require, by regulation, periodic calibration of audiometric
equipment used by licensed audiologists and hearing aid [dealers] DISPENSERS.

(c) The Board may inspect the facilities used by licenced hearing aid [dealers]
DISPENSERS.

2-206.

(a)     There is a State Board of Examiners for Audiologists, Hearing Aid [Dealers]
DISPENSERS, and Speech-Language Pathologists Fund.

(d)     (2) The Comptroller shall distribute the fees to the State Board of
Examiners for Audiologists, Hearing Aid [Dealers] DISPENSERS, and Speech-Language
Pathologists Fund.

2-301.

(b)     (1) This section does not apply:

(iii) Unless the individual who is practicing speech-language pathology
chooses to apply for a license under this subtitle, to an individual employed
CONTINUOUSLY SINCE OCTOBER 1, 1993 by any agency of the (A) A county public school
system, State approved nonpublic school for handicapped children, or chartered
educational institution of the State or the State Department of Education while
performing the duties of that employment;
