1993 LAWS OF MARYLAND

                       (ii) If the sign is placed against a building, structure, or other location

that does not obstruct vehicle or pedestrian traffic, the bottom edge of the sign shall be at
least 6 feet and no more than 10 feet above the ground.]

(e)] (D) A person may not park a motor vehicle in a space designated for the
[handicapped] USE OF INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES unless the vehicle bears A
SPECIAL REGISTRATION PLATE, A REMOVABLE WINDSHIELD PLACARD, OR A
TEMPORARY REMOVABLE WINDSHIELD PLACARD ISSUED BY THE ADMINISTRATION
UNDER § 13-616, § 13-616.1, OR § 13-616.2 OF THIS ARTICLE OR SIMILARLY BY ANOTHER
STATE, THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, OR ANOTHER COUNTRY [:

(1)     A special registration plate; or                                 

(2)     A valid permit issued by:

(i) The Administration under § 13-616.1 of this article;

(ii) Another state; or

(iii) The District of (Columbia].                                     

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1993.

(Senate Bill 49)

AN ACT concerning                                                                           

Creation of a State Debt - The American Visionary Art Museum

FOR the purpose of authorizing the creation of a State Debt not to exceed $2,200,000
$500,000, the proceeds to be used as a grant to the Board of Directors of The
American Visionary Art Museum, Inc. for the renovation, repair, reconstruction,
and equipping of and the construction of an addition to the building at 840 Key
Highway, formerly 501 Key Highway in Baltimore City for use as a museum and
educational center in which the artwork of self-taught artists will be displayed,
individuals with disabilities will be trained and employed, and the public will be
educated about visionary art and artists, subject to the requirement that the Board
of Directors of The American Visionary Art Museum, Inc. provide and expend a
matching fund and provide, by a certain date, evidence that a matching fund will be
provided; and providing generally for the issuance and sale of bonds evidencing the
loan.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That:
