(2) An accredited undergraduate, graduate, or professional institution
outside the State, if the applicant will be studying in an academic area that is not available
in this State; and
(3) A private career school within the State that is approved by the
Maryland Higher Education Commission under § 11-202 of this article and that is
accredited by a national accrediting association that is approved by the United States
Department of Education.
(c) Moneys appropriated to the Commission for scholarships awarded under this
section that are not used by the end of the fiscal year shall be retained by the Commission
for use by the awarding Delegate in the Delegate Scholarship Program during subsequent
fiscal years.

THIS SUBTITLE SHALL TERMINATE AND BE OF NO EFFECT AFTER JUNE 30, 2003.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That funding for the
Apprenticeship Incentive Program created under this Act shall be included in the annual
budget beginning with Fiscal Year 1995.
SECTION 3 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect October 1, 1993.

AN ACT concerning
University of Maryland System - Consolidation of Constituent Institutions Enhancement
of Continuing Education
FOR the purpose of authorizing requiring the Board of Regents of the University of
Maryland System to consolidate consider and report on alternative ways of
enhancing undertake a certain study and provide a certain report about providing
continuing education education to the citizens of Maryland; including the alternative
of consolidating programs and consolidating certain constituent institutions under
certain circumstances; authorizing the making of certain conforming changes
providing for the transfer of certain employees and faculty without any change of
rights, benefits, or entitlements; making provisions of this Act severable; and
generally relating to the consolidation of continuing education provided by
constituent institutions of the University of Maryland System.
