SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall apply to
contracts and policies issued, delivered, or renewed on or after October 1, 1993.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1993.

(House Bill 1528)

AN ACT concerning

Consumer Credit Reporting Agencies - Erroneous Information - Duty to Correct

FOR the purpose of requiring a consumer credit reporting agency to notify a person who
furnished information to the credit reporting agency that the information furnished
was found to be inaccurate or no longer verifiable; and requiring the person who
furnished the information to the consumer credit reporting agency to delete the
information from the p
erson's records requiring a person contacted during a
reinvestigation by a consumer credit reporting agency who determines that certain
information was inaccurate to correct the information in the person's records within a
certain time.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
