SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section(s) 3-202 of
Article 83A - Department of Economic and Employment Development of the Annotated
Code of Maryland be renumbered to be Section(s) 3-201.

SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1993.

AN ACT concerning

Criminal Histories Provided by State's Attorney - Repeal

FOR the purpose of repealing a provision requiring State's Attorneys to provide criminal
histories to the Commissioner of Correction.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments

[693.

For the purposes mentioned in § 691 of this article, the State's Attorney of any
county or city in which a person has been convicted of crime and sentenced to the
jurisdiction of the Department, shall forward to the Department a criminal history of such
criminal as fully as it is known or can be ascertained by such State's Attorney.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1993.
