Ch. 356                                     1993 LAWS OF MARYLAND

(ix) The Chesapeake Bay Commission;

(x) The Lower Shore Private Industry Council, Inc.;

(xi) The Maryland Stadium Authority;

(xii) A community action agency as defined in Article 83B, §
4-401(a)(1)(iii) of the Code and as designated by the legislative body, however, a
legislative body may not designate more than 1 community action agency for purposes of
this section;

(xiii) The Tri-County Council of Southern Maryland;

(xiv) An agency on aging, as designated by the legislative body;

(xv) The University of Maryland Medical System Corporation as
defined in § 13-1B-01(n) of the Education Article, but only for:

1.       Medical System University personnel who were employees of
the University of Maryland on June 30, 1988, who were members of the Employees'
Retirement System or the Pension System for Employees of the State of Maryland, and
who became Medical System Corporation employees on or before July 1, 1988; and

2.       Medical System University personnel who were employees of
the University of Maryland on June 30, 1990, who were members of the Employees'
Retirement System or the Pension System for Employees of the State of Maryland, and
who voluntarily became Medical System Corporation employees on or before July 1, 1991;

(xvi) The Baltimore Metropolitan Council; [and]

(xvii) The University of Maryland Medical System Corporation as
defined in § 13-1C-01(b) of the Education Article, but only for Montebello University
employees as defined in § 13-1C-01(g) of the Education Article:

1.       Who were employees of the University of Maryland System
on June 30, 1992;

2.       Who were members of the Employees' Retirement System of
the State of Maryland or the Pension System for the Employees of the State of Maryland;
and

3.       Who became employees of the University of Maryland
Medical System Corporation in accordance with § 13-1C-04 of the Education Article;
AND

(XVIII) THE HOWARD COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That in order to provide for
overlapping terms, the terms of the initial members of the Board of Directors of the
Howard County Economic Development Authority, as enacted by this Act, shall be as
follows:

(1) Three appointees shall each serve 4 years;
