(a) (2) (i) "Motor vehicle" means a vehicle that is:

1. Registered or capable of being registered in this State as a
Class A (passenger), Class E (truck), Class F (tractor), Class M (multipurpose) [vehicle],
or Class P (passenger bus) VEHICLE; and

(d) (1) If an abandoned vehicle is not reclaimed in the time required by this
subtitle, the police department shall give the applicant a certificate of authority to
transfer the vehicle to:

(i) Any automotive dismantler and recycler for:

1.       Dismantling, destroying, or scrapping; or

2.       Salvaging as authorized under [§ 13-507] § 13-506 of this

article; or

(ii) Any scrap processor for dismantling, destroying, or scrapping.

(3) The automotive dismantler and recycler may apply for a salvage
certificate as provided in [§ 13-507] § 13-506 of this article.

Occurred: As a result of Ch. 635, Acts of 1992, which repealed former §§
