SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

(D-2) IN CALVERT COUNTY THE ANNUAL LICENSE FEE IS $150.

(n) This section does not apply to the City of Annapolis nor to [Calvert,]
Charles, Dorchester, and Talbot Counties, in all of which jurisdictions such licenses may
not be issued.

40.

(M) (1) THIS SUBSECTION APPLIES ONLY IN CALVERT COUNTY.

(2)      THE NAME OR NAMES OF THE PERSON OR PERSONS WHO OWN THE
GREATEST NUMBER OF SHARES IN THE CORPORATION WHICH MAKES APPLICATION
FOR A LICENSE SHALL APPEAR ON THE APPLICATION AS APPLICANTS.

(3)      THE APPLICANT WHO IS A RESIDENT OF THE COUNTY SHALL OWN
AT LEAST 10 PERCENT OF THE BUSINESS.

(4)      THESE REQUIREMENTS ARE IN ADDITION TO ANY OTHER
REQUIREMENTS IMPOSED BY THIS ARTICLE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1993.

under certain circumstances; making this Act subject to a certain contingency;
