7-410.

(a)     If a student seeks information to overcome any form of drug abuse, as defined
in [§ 9-101] § 8-101 of the Health - General Article, from a teacher, counselor,
principal, or other professional educator employed by an educational institution that has
received a certificate of approval under § 2-206 of this article, a statement, whether oral
or written, made by the student or an observation or conclusion derived from the
statement is not admissible against the student in any proceeding.

Occurred: As a result of Ch. 758, Acts of 1988, which revised provisions in
the Health - General Article relating to alcohol and drug abuse.

7-601.

(b)     (2) In Allegany County, school buses may be used to transport students to or
from school for longer than 1 hour or over a distance of more than 45 miles if the student
participates in:

(ii) Education of handicapped children programs under the federal
[Education of the Handicapped] INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES Act; or

Occurred: As a result of the passage by the United States Congress of
Public Law . 101-476 in 1990, which renamed the Education of the
Handicapped Act to be the Individuals with Disabilities Act.

16-407.

(f) The provisions of this section shall be subject to any reciprocal interstate
agreement entered into by the Maryland Higher Education Commission under [§
11-105(j)(2)] § 11-105(L)(2) of this article.

Error: Obsolete cross-reference in § 16-407(f) of the Education Article.

Occurred: As a result of Ch. 464, Acts of 1991, which renumbered §
11-105(j) of the Education Article to be § 11-105(1).

16-408.

(e) (1) In this subsection, the terms "minority business enterprise" and
"minority individual" have the meanings stated in [§ 14-301(e)] § 14-301 of the State
Finance and Procurement Article.
