(b) In each of the districts provided for in § 1-602 of this subtitle, there shall be
the following number of associate judges of the District Court:

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the changes to §
l-503(a)(4) and (b) of the Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article made by this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1993 and the changes to § l-503(a)(8) and (10) of the Courts and Judicial
Proceedings Article made by this Act shall take effect January 1, 1995.

AN ACT concerning

Maryland State Police - Modified Workday

FOR the purpose of altering provisions relating to modified work schedules for certain
employees of the Maryland State Police to conform to that of the Fair Labor
Standards Act; repealing certain inaccurate references to certain civilian employees
of the Maryland State Police; repealing obsolete language relating to a 2-year pilot
evaluation project of alternative work schedules; making this Act an emergency
measure; providing for the effective date for certain provisions of this Act; and
generally relating to a modified workday in the Maryland State Police.
