(3)     The three members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners shall
serve for two years or until the terms of the County Commissioners end, whichever occurs
first.

(4)     The member of the hospital medical staff shall continue to serve for the
remainder of the member's current term.

(5)     The President of the Garrett County Memorial Hospital shall continue to
serve as an ex officio member of the Board.

(6)     The representatives of the two local banks and the representative of the
American Red Cross shall continue to serve as at-large members of the Board for a term
of 1 year beginning July 1, 1993.

(7)     The 4 remaining members shall continue to serve as at-large members for a
term of 2 years beginning July 1, 1993.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1993.

AN ACT concerning

Distress Sales - Minimum Standards

FOR the purpose of providing that certain provisions of the Code concerning distress
sales provide minimum standards for the protection of consumers in the State;
providing that a local jurisdiction may adopt standards for distress sales only if the
standards meet certain requirements; providing for the enforcement of certain
provisions of the Code concerning distress sales; and generally relating to standards
for distress sales.
