Ch. 3

In subsection (b) of this section, the phrase "at the
time and place that the Board determines" is standard
language added for clarity and consistency.

In subsection (d)(1) of this section, the specific
references to the "scope" and "form" of examinations
are added to conform to similar provisions elsewhere
in this article.

In subsection (d)(2) of this section, the reference to
"any similar organization" is added to clarify that
the Board may adopt the examinations and recommended
grading procedures of organizations other than the
Council.

3-306. WAIVER OF EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION, THE BOARD MAY
WAIVE ANY EXAMINATION REQUIREMENT OF THIS SUBTITLE FOR AN
INDIVIDUAL WHO:

(1)  IS LICENSED TO PRACTICE ARCHITECTURE IN ANOTHER
STATE OR COUNTRY; OR

(2)  IS CERTIFIED BY THE COUNCIL.

(B)  CONDITIONS -- OUT-OF-STATE LICENSEE.

THE BOARD MAY GRANT A WAIVER UNDER THIS SECTION FOR AN
APPLICANT WHO IS LICENSED TO PRACTICE ARCHITECTURE IN ANOTHER
STATE OR COUNTRY ONLY IF THE APPLICANT:

(1)   IS OF GOOD CHARACTER AND REPUTATION;

(2)  PAYS TO THE BOARD AN APPLICATION FEE NOT
EXCEEDING $100, AS SET BY THE BOARD; AND

(3)  PROVIDES ADEQUATE EVIDENCE THAT THE APPLICANT
BECAME LICENSED IN THE OTHER STATE OR COUNTRY AFTER MEETING, IN
THAT OR ANY OTHER STATE OR COUNTRY, REQUIREMENTS THAT WERE AT
LEAST EQUIVALENT TO THOSE THEN REQUIRED BY THE LAWS OF THIS
STATE.

(C)  SAME -- COUNCIL CERTIFIED.

THE BOARD MAY GRANT A WAIVER UNDER THIS SECTION FOR AN
APPLICANT WHO IS CERTIFIED BY THE COUNCIL ONLY IF:
