3-203. CHAIRMAN.

FROM AMONG THE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD AND WITH THE ADVICE OF
THE SECRETARY, THE GOVERNOR SHALL APPOINT A CHAIRMAN.

without substantive change from the fourth sentence of
former Art. 56, § 465(b).

3-204. QUORUM; MEETINGS AND HEARINGS; COMPENSATION; STAFF.

(A)  QUORUM.

THREE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD ARE A QUORUM.

(B)  MEETINGS AND HEARINGS.

THE BOARD SHALL DETERMINE THE TIMES AND PLACES OF ITS
MEETINGS AND HEARINGS.

(C)  COMPENSATION AND REIMBURSEMENT OF EXPENSES.
A MEMBER OF THE BOARD:

(1)  MAY NOT RECEIVE COMPENSATION; BUT

(2)  IS ENTITLED TO REIMBURSEMENT FOR EXPENSES UNDER
THE STANDARD STATE TRAVEL REGULATIONS, AS PROVIDED IN THE STATE
BUDGET.

(D)  STAFF.

(1)  THE BOARD MAY EMPLOY A STAFF IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE STATE BUDGET.

(2)  THE BOARD MAY REQUIRE THE STAFF TO BE COVERED BY
A SURETY BOND IN THE FORM AND AMOUNT REQUIRED BY LAW.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 56, §
465(c) and the first sentence of § 466(b), the second
sentence of (d), and the first clause of (i).

In subsection (a) of this section, the former phrases
"for the transaction of ordinary business" are deleted
as surplusage.
