CHAPTER 2

(Senate Bill 49)

AN ACT concerning

Child Support Guidelines

FOR the purpose of establishing child support guidelines;
authorizing a court to use the guidelines in certain
proceedings; providing that the guidelines are advisory only
and give rise to no presumption or inference; requiring
permitting the Court of Appeals to issue certain forms;
requiring income statements of parents to be verified with
certain documentation; defining certain terms; authorizing
potential income to be imputed to a parent under certain
circumstances; making this Act an emergency measure; and
generally relating to determining the amount of a child
support award.
