LAWS OF MARYLAND

REGULATIONS ADOPTED UNDER THIS TITLE SHALL TERMINATE AND BE OF NO
EFFECT AFTER JULY 1, 1993.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 56, §
344A.

The former limitation "relating to the regulation of
professional land surveyors" is deleted since
termination of the Board would, necessarily, render
provisions that relate to property line surveyors
ineffective.

As to the Md. Program Evaluation Act, see Title 8,
Subtitle 4 of the State Government Article.

GENERAL REVISOR'S NOTE:

Former Art. 56, § 343(c), which related to the duty of duly
constituted officers to enforce the provisions of former Art. 56,
§§ 330 through 344A and to prosecute any person violating those
sections, is deleted in light of Art. 10, § 34 of the Code, which
provides generally for the statutory duties of a State's
Attorney.

Former Art. 56, § 343(d), which required the Attorney
General to provide legal service to the Board is deleted as
unnecessary in light of SG § 6-106(b) and Art. 41, § 8-103 of the
Code.

Former Art. 56, § 344(1), which provided that the provisions
of former Art. 56, §§ 330 through 344A did not prevent or affect
the practice of any other legally recognized profession or trade,
is deleted as an unnecessary statement of the obvious.

Former Art. 91, §§ 4 through 6, which related to the duties
of county surveyors and the age requirement for a chain or pole
carrier, are deleted as obsolete.
