"License" § 15-101
15-311. WAIVER OF EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS.

(A)   IN GENERAL.

SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION, THE BOARD MAY
WAIVE ANY EXAMINATION REQUIREMENT OF THIS SUBTITLE FOR AN
INDIVIDUAL WHO IS LICENSED TO PRACTICE LAND SURVEYING IN ANOTHER
STATE.

(B)  CONDITIONS.

THE BOARD MAY GRANT A WAIVER UNDER THIS SECTION ONLY IF THE
APPLICANT:

(1)  IS OF GOOD CHARACTER AND REPUTATION;

(2)  PAYS TO THE BOARD THE LICENSE FEE REQUIRED UNDER
§ 15-312(A)(2)(I) OF THIS SUBTITLE; AND

(3)  PROVIDES ADEQUATE EVIDENCE THAT, AT THE TIME THE
APPLICANT WAS LICENSED BY THE OTHER STATE, THE APPLICANT MET
REQUIREMENTS THAT WERE EQUIVALENT TO THOSE THEN REQUIRED BY THE
LAWS OF THIS STATE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 56, §
335(e) and, as it related to licenses to practice land
surveying, (f) and, as it related to payment of fees
to the Board, the first sentence of § 334(a) and
rephrased in the standard language now used throughout
the revised articles of the Code for provisions that
allow or require waiver of examination requirements.

In subsection (a) of this section, the former
reference to a "territory, or possession of the United
States, or the District of Columbia" is deleted as
unnecessary in light of the definition of "state".

15-312. ISSUANCE, CONTENTS, AND REPLACEMENT OF LICENSE.

(A) NOTICE TO QUALIFIED APPLICANT.

IF AN APPLICANT QUALIFIES FOR A LICENSE UNDER THIS SUBTITLE,
THE BOARD SHALL SEND THE APPLICANT A NOTICE THAT STATES THAT:

(1) THE APPLICANT HAS QUALIFIED FOR A LICENSE; AND
