titled "ZONING", amending the map entitled "Wicomico County
Zoning Map" referred to in Section 76 of said Chapter, to rezone
certain property which lies on the Westerly side of U.S. Route
50, West and North of the existing commercial area adjacent to
the railroad track near the Westerly boundary of the City of
Salisbury; East of the center line of the existing stream and
South of Legion Road; and all that land on the Easterly side of
U.S. Route 50 proceeding Westerly from the Northerly corporate
limits of the City of Salisbury and on the Easterly side of U.S.
Route 50 West, and bounded on the North by Booth Street, and
extending in an Easterly direction the depth of the existing R-15
District fronting on U.S. Route 50 West from an R-15 Residential
District to a "Light Business and Residential District".

WHEREAS, it appears that a change has occurred in the
character of the area herein described; and

WHEREAS, it appears that a mistake was made in the existing
zoning classification which could adversely affect the
development of the area; and

WHEREAS, the "Light Business and Residential District" has
been created since the zoning of the hereinafter described area,
and this Ordinance is being presented to further and better
clarify the uses in the newly created zoning district; and

WHEREAS, it appears advisable to amend the aforesaid "Zoning
Ordinance of Wicomico County, Maryland" to redefine and rezone
the area referred to, and herein described; therefore:

AN ACT to amend Chapter 160 of the Wicomico County Code,
titled "HOUSING STANDARDS", by amending Section 160-4, titled
"Scope", by adding Sections C, D, and E; by repealing Section
160-5, titled "Existing Buildings"; by repealing Section 160-10,
titled "Records"; by repealing and re-enacting Section 160-11,
titled "Definitions and Word Usage" and renumbering said Section
as Section 160-9; by amending ARTICLE II, titled "POWERS AND
DUTIES OF BUILDING OFFICIAL", and more specifically by repealing,
amending and re-enacting Section 160-12, titled "Right of Entry"
and renumbering said Section to be Section 160-10; by amending
Section 160-13, titled "Unsafe Buildings and Structures" and
renumbering said Section to be Section 160-11; by adding Section
160-11.1, titled "Transfer of Ownership"; by renumbering Section
160-14, titled "Requirements Not Covered By Code" to be Section
160-12; to renumber Section 160-15, titled "Liability" to be
Section 160-13; to renumber Section 160-16, titled "Reports", to
be Section 160-14; to renumber Section 160-17, titled
"Inspections" to be Section 160-15; to renumber Section 160-18,
