THE CITY OF HAGERSTOWN, MARYLAND

A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HAGERSTOWN,
MARYLAND, INTRODUCED AND PASSED PURSUANT TO ITS GENERAL POWERS
FOR THE PURPOSE OF AMENDING AND REVISING THE CHARTER OF THE CITY
OF HAGERSTOWN, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, EXISTING UNDER AND BY
VIRTUE OF THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF MARYLAND, AND IN PARTICULAR
AMENDING ARTICLE II, SECTION 208 OF THE PRESENT CITY CHARTER AS
ADOPTED AND EFFECTIVE ON APRIL 6, 1983, AND AS AMENDED AND
EFFECTIVE ON NOVEMBER 16, 1983, SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR CERTAIN
REVISIONS AND ADDITIONS PERTAINING TO THE PASSAGE AND PUBLICATION
OF ORDINANCES.

amendments.

CHARTER AMENDMENT RESOLUTION

NO. 1988-1

A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF
HAMPSTEAD, for the purpose of amending Section 6-66 of the
Charter of the Town of Hampstead as the same is codified in the
Everstine Code of Public Laws of Carroll County (1976) to provide
for the manner in which purchases and contracts for the town
government are made.
