FOR the purpose of altering time limitations on presentation of
creditor's claims against an a decedent's estate by
providing for requiring claims to be filed within a certain
time period after the first delivery to the creditor of
actual notice of the appointment of a personal
representative or from the death of the decedent; altering
the time period within which objection must be made to
actions in proceedings involving small estates during which
a personal representative's initial administration account
must be filed; altering the time during which a surviving
spouse may exercise his right to take an elective share;
making this Act an emergency measure; and generally relating
to limitations on creditor's claims against an estate.
FOR the purpose of requiring a personal representative of an
estate to provide actual notice of the appointment as
personal representative to certain creditors; specifying the
form of the notice; requiring the personal representative to
follow certain procedures under certain circumstances;
providing for certain immunity from personal liability for
personal representatives under certain circumstances;
providing for certain time limitations for certain creditors
to file claims under certain circumstances; making this Act
an emergency measure; and generally relating to providing
notice to creditors of estates.
