AN ACT concerning
Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission -
Prince George's County - Grading, Drainage, and Erosion Control
Permits —Findings
MC/PG 6-89
FOR the purpose of requiring the Prince George's County Council
to consider certain factors before the County Council issues
a grading, drainage, or erosion control permit or a certain
department of the County to place conditions on certain
grading permits for certain land in the Prince George's
County portion of the Maryland-Washington Regional District
under certain conditions.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 28 - Maryland-National Capital Park and
Planning Commission
8-119.1.
BEFORE THE PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY COUNCIL, ACTING AS THE
DISTRICT COUNCIL FOR THE MARYLAND WASHINGTON REGIONAL DISTRICT,
ISSUES A GRADING, DRAINAGE, OR EROSION CONTROL PERMIT IN THE
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY PORTION OF THE REGIONAL DISTRICT, THE
COUNTY COUNCIL SHALL CONSIDER.
(1) THE SAFETY, HEALTH, AND WELFARE OF THE RESIDENTS
OF THE COUNTY; AND
(2) THE ESTIMATED IMPACT THAT THE WORK DONE UNDER THE
PERMIT MAY HAVE ON VEHICULAR TRAFFIC IN THE COUNTY.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY OR A DEPARTMENT OF THE COUNTY
RESPONSIBLE FOR ISSUING THE PERMIT SHALL PLACE CONDITIONS ON A
GRADING PERMIT ISSUED OR TO BE ISSUED UNDER SUBTITLE 4, DIVISION
3 OF THE PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY CODE (1983 ED.), INVOLVING 10
ACRES OF LAND OR MORE IN THE PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY PORTION OF
