AN ACT concerning

Pier-Housing Structures on Piers
- Prohibition

FOR the purpose of prohibiting the issuance of certain permits or
licenses for the construction of a dwelling unit or other
non-water dependent structure located on a pier; providing
certain exceptions; authorizing a local jurisdiction to
issue certain building permits for the repair of certain
existing dwelling units or other non-water dependent
structures; providing certain requirements for projects
involving the construction of a dwelling unit or other
non-water dependent facility on a pier located on State or
private wetlands within the Chesapeake Bay Critical Area;
providing for the application of this Act; requiring
authorizing the Maryland Port Administration to adopt
certain regulations; defining certain terms; and generally
relating to a prohibition against the construction of
dwelling units or other non-water dependent structures on
piers.
